The Harleysville Eagles offer cheerleading during the Fall season, alongside of football season.  This program focuses on the basics of cheerleading, including mainly sideline cheering, as well as sportsmanship and team building. 

Ages:5-14

Registration includes a uniform lease of pom Poms, shell, and skirt.

Additional costs: your cheerleader will also be required to have the following body basics purchased for the season.  Note that some of them are purchased through our organization, while some you will be required to provide your child with on your own:

-purchased through organization

     -bow

     -body suit(for under uniform)

     -bloomers(for under uniform)

     -warm up pants and jacket

-purchased on your own

     -all black cheer sneakers

     -black ankle socks

     -cheer bag

     -water bottle

Additional HEYA costs: uniform deposit(given back when the uniform is handed in at the end of the season)

Documents required:  (same as football)

SEASON START: Beginning of August

SEASON END: the season usually goes to the middle of November for the regular season.  We also cheer, however, for ALL post season playoff games.

Practice schedule(example): 

AUGUST: practice is Monday's, Tuesday's, and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm

ONCE SCHOOL STARTS: practice drops to only 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursdays, from 6:30-8pm. 

GAMES: Games are typically on Saturdays, during the day.   There are games that we will have to travel to as well as those on our home field.  The schedule for games is typically not released until the end of August, before the first game.

 Volunteering: the organization is run off of volunteers, so as part of the fee for joining, there are times when every parent has to volunteer for something.  These include things like field set up and tear down, working the snack stand, etc.  Sign ups for these positions will be made available as the season progresses.
